September 5, 2024, Cotabato Light and Power Company and the Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. have successfully handed over a total of nine commercial laptops and nine printers to the Cotabato City Local Government Unit (LGU) as part of the PinasBilis Project. This initiative aims to enhance the efficiency of public service delivery, focusing on quick response, customer-centric operations, and streamlining the ease of doing business in the city, as outlined in Republic Act 11032.
The turnover ceremony took place at the City People’s Palace Lobby area, with representatives from Cotabato Light and the Cotabato City LGU present to witness the event. The donation of these essential technological tools underscores Cotabato Light’s commitment to supporting the local government in its mission to provide faster and more efficient services to its constituents.
The PinasBilis Project is a significant step towards modernizing the LGU's operations, ensuring that the citizens of Cotabato City benefit from a more responsive and efficient government. With the addition of these laptops and printers, various departments within the LGU will be better equipped to handle administrative tasks, process transactions swiftly, and improve overall service delivery.
Part of the activities included a series of capability-building sessions on the Business Process Improvement Toolbox and Analytics for Business: Discovering Insights from Data, conducted by Ateneo de Manila University, and attended by LGU department heads.
Cotabato Light’s contribution is part of a broader corporate social responsibility initiative aimed at fostering development and progress within the communities it serves. By empowering the Cotabato City LGU with the tools necessary to enhance their operations, Cotabato Light is helping to pave the way for a more dynamic and business-friendly environment in the city.
