Balawag do the ceremonial ribbon-cutting to officially seals the turnover of AGAPP building to NDVCES pupils, teachers, parents through their principal Ms. Estrella Guiani

As a testament of Aboitiz group’s commitment to support to the educational program in our country, the Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (AFI) thru its member company – Cotabato Light and Power Company (CLPC) had once again donated a colorful 1 storey - 2 classrooms kindergarten building worth about 1.4 Million.  This time the beneficiary-recipient was Notre Dame Village Central Elementary School (NDVCES).

The ceremonial turnover was done on September 18, 2013 wherein NDVCES formally received the building complete with textbooks, furniture and fixtures. Also, five of NDVCES teachers were sent to a free training held at Malagos, Davao City sometime in May this year.

In her message – NDVCES Principal Ms. Estrella Guiani said, “Through this wonderful project, you have touched several lives of our stakeholders, parents and students. You have filled the gaps in our educational system.  With this project, I can say that we are so privileged and blessed.  Thank you very much!”

In Cotabato City - this is the 3rd AGAPP building donated by Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (AFI) and Cotabato Light in three consecutive years.  These beautiful classrooms buildings where located at Cotabato City Central Pilot School, Sero Central School, and now ND Village Central Elementary School – all are within CLPC franchise area.  Groupwide, the Aboitiz group has already donated 67 buildings nationwide.

With these donations, more pupils of Cotabato Light customers will benefit from this beautiful structures designed to enhance the learning environment of the children.

The AGAPP (Aklat, Gabay, Aruga tungo sa Pag-angat at Pag-asa) is a project of the Presidential sister Pinky Aquino-Abellada to have a solid foundation for education in the early formative years of the pupils.  And, the Aboitiz group pledges its commitment to support the educational campaign of our government as part of its advocacy to create a better future for the Filipino people.
